Both.
There is an increase in carbon dioxide in the air that is easily measured and EVERYBODY agrees it is from people burning coal, oil and natural gas. This should cause warming since it is a greenhouse gas, but we don't know how much.
The Earth has passed through many ice ages and warm ages in the past, according to geology, and there is every reason to think this will continue. Also, the Sun is slowly getting hotter, so that in a billion years or so, the seas will boil away no matter what we do with the atmosphere.

Certainly Global warming is a real thing and it is a natural cycle. The human influence to it is that we have increased the rate of temperature going up. With our way of living, exploitation of natural resources, pollution and like influnces temperature has gone up more than what should have happened in same number of years without all this. If you compare the rate of rise in temperature in last 200 years you will see that in last 4 to 5 decades temperature rise has been much more and green cover on earth has depleted a lot.
So what we are doing is increasing the rate of temperature rise by our non sustainable way of living and pollution and that is a fact.

The Earth is getting warmer and humans account for a lot of carbon dioxide in the air. There hardly needs to be proof of the facts. The debate is just how bad is it? It's the prognosis that's questionable.
Do your research by reading both pro- and con- sites that are scientifically worthy. Scientific American is very well respected and it's pro. JunkScience is not as well respected (a bit extreme, in my view) but still seems to represent the con- view well. Each site lists blogs and forums (fora?) of respected groups that are still debating the issue. I would gravitate towards the sites with cooler language (no pun intended).

yes it is a real phenomenon, but unfortunately both cooling and warming are going on at the same time. the stratosphere is warming, and the troposphere is cooling.
should do some research and find out what kind of havock that creates!
Scientists have calculated that volcanoes emit between about 130-230 million tonnes (145-255 million tons) of CO2 into the atmosphere every year (Gerlach, 1999, 1992). This estimate includes both subaerial and submarine volcanoes, about in equal amounts. Emissions of CO2 by human activities, including fossil fuel burning, cement production, and gas flaring, amount to about 22 billion tonnes per year (24 billion tons) [ ( Marland, et al., 1998) - The reference gives the amount of released carbon (C), rather than CO2.]. Human activities release more than 150 times the amount of CO2 emitted by volcanoes--the equivalent of nearly 17,000 additional volcanoes like Kilauea (Kilauea emits about 13.2 million tonnes/year)!

Real for sure. Definitely a natural cycle exacerbated by man.
