If it were only so easy to do it would be a blessing. But people develop their own set of rigid thinking to most debates or it rears its head sometime during the debate.
It is hard for most people to step outside of themselves and think first before opening their mouth.
If the person "wins"the debate then they will have peace of mind.regardless of any damage to their ideology or religion until someone tells them so.

"We don't miss the water until the well runs dry. "
When things are peaceful, we usually don't stop and say, "Hey, this sure was a peaceful day, let's get on our knees and thank God for it."
But, when we have a day of turmoil, we are distraught, and defensive about our opinions, and those who disagree with us.
And then, we pray for God to help us.
Solution: It seem we need to establish certain credos, or certain approaches to disagreements.
My Grandmother had two basic rules about disagreements:
1. If you want to blame somebody, blame yourself. That's what President Regan did, and he made a lot of mistakes, and everyone seemed to love him.
2. In an argument or spat, the least said is easiest mended.
Sorry for the long answer or response.

The word of God. I declare the ensures therein. An occasion is Philippians 4:6 and seven "fret approximately not something yet in each thing with the aid of prayer and supplication with thanksgiving enable your requests be made prevalent to God. Verse 7 Then the Peace of God which extends previous the ideas's skill to understand shall look after your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." it somewhat is a brilliant promise to declare. it somewhat is barely a secret to those who do not yet understand or refuse to understand.

I believe it does........... It seams that the closer you get to confrontation, the clearer you can get your point accross....However....there is a fine line that once reached your emotions get the better of you and you lose control.
Either way, I think most people involved in a confrontation as long as a full amount of effort was put forth, do feel better. More of a resolve even if you dont feel that you have won. just to get your point accross and know that you pushed it out when you were getting pushed feels good.
