I like Limewire about the best. Although I haven't tried Napster or Rhapsody since they became free.
I'd steer clear of Kazaa-Gold. they're a bunch of goofs. if you can ever get logged on--they're ok, i guess. but logging on takes forever.
with Limewire you get logged on quick and they have tons of songs.

iPod goes with iTunes because you do not need to transfer the music to your iTunes first to then transfer to iPod. It automatically updates your iPod, but sometimes iPod doesn't have all the best music available in the market.
I found out of a program that you can download for free "PolderbitS Sound Recorder and Editor 5" at www.download.com, for 30 day trial and after that is only $36.00 and you can basically play CD's, Internet radio, or any input source for music and it will burn it as mp3 file.
That way you do not have to pay for music that you download because you creating your own recordings. and let me tell you....the sound recordings are incredibly awesome!!!

stick with I-Tunes. IPOD's format is not compatible with other music players, you will only be able to use it on the I-pod if you download it from their site or rip it from CD's you own yourself.
