The first sentence is not standard French, but it matches the English sentence in tone and vocabulary. (Note that francophones in North America would not say, "faire véto"; they would say "devenir vétérinaire.") The same sentence in standard French would read, "J'étudie en médecine vétérinaire."

Je suis en train d'étudier pour devenir un vétérinaire, mais mes livres coûtent 100 dollars. Donc je me demandais si vous pourriez m'envoyer de l'argent pour mes livres.
Some explainations :
- I translated I'm studying by je suis en train d'étudier to insist on the fact that you are studying. But j'étudie is also OK.
- I translated "if you can' by if you could,as it sounds better in French.

J'etudie pour devenir un "Vet", mais les livres coutent 100 dollars.
The first e in etudie has accent aigu, the u in countent has a circonflex.
