The largest bill printed today is $500.00. The mints haven't printed a $1000.00 bill in many years. I have never heard of any law saying U.S currency couldn't be used in any country. If you have a $1000.00 bill it is rare and you could most likely get more than face value for it.

The $1,000 bill is only used between banks.
Years ago people could carry $500 bills, but no longer.
The largest bill allowed is the $100 bill.

It is obviously not the currancy of any other country but some people like the american dolloar over their currancy
