You know, sometimes it takes a great loss or seeing a loss of another to truly understand what we have! Look around you! Excamine your clothes, living style, food stock, friends, family, school, spiritual opportunities. Maybe something you see as small is so much bigger than you think! For one, dont compare! Sometimes it's hard not to but it only makes you feel negative about life! Besides, if you have God, isnt he enough of a blessing and more?? =D I find it so easy to count my blessings when I take a look at my grandma who has been my light in my struggle! I hope with everything that you have people in your life that you can easily say thank you to for the blessing God has made them in your life, I love you, and truly bless them without hesitation, although we should love even our enemies, and those who have wronged us. The Lord wants us to count our blessings! Dont allow material things to make you happy either! That makes things worse! Find greatest pleasure in the Lord and in a simple life we may or may not have been given, and allow and focus on joys of the spirit by God to fulfill your every need!
And one strange thing you may be thankful for..one I or you might want to say "WHAT!" about- thank God for misfortunes, sickness, a car crash maybe, a breakup, or tough situation..infact..I almost forgot myself! You see, He uses each and everything in our life to mature us, because there is no coincidence in christianity or the walk in God. Everything, big or small, even bad, is used for good and growth. I need to remember that one too!
May the Lord bless you and make you wealthy with love, peace, grace, and Him!

You pass them on with a prayer of thanksgiving. A postcard to a friend disconcerted by divorce...a hug to a gf who just lost her bf...a regular part of your income to someone who needs help...$3 feeds an orphan in Acra Ghana for a day. You try to find 10 new things each day to count as a blessing. Have you thanked God for the retina in your left eye lately? Ask for help in seeing even more, stranger, wonderful blessings each day. Then pass them on.

I try to say thank you to the Lord in prayer many times a day. Today I whispered prayers thanking the Lord for all the pretty cardinals at my birdfeeders: another prayer thanked Him for the mild weather; another thanked Him for my kids and my granddaughter, my mom and brother and wife; another prayer thanked Him for our soldiers and also asked Him to bring them home safe and soon and another prayer asked the Lord to give our President strength and wisdom to lead our country.

then before i go to sleep at nite i say thanks to the Lord for everything He's done for me and my family----I'm hoping here to catch everything i may have not thanked Him for during the day.

when you stop and think about it---all of us are blessed immensely---the least we can do is say thanks!

God's blessings to all men are innumerable. When we realize this, we try to express our thankfulness by observing His divine commands recorded in the Holy Books.
