stay away from those fats..eat healthy fats, at least 20 grams per day...like avocado and fish or chicken, olive oil..monosaturated or polysaturated fats are better than those you mentioned.
You need fat for healthy skin, bowel movements, etc.

Neither trans fats or saturated fats are 'needed' by the body. Needed fats are termed 'essential' fats in that the body is incapable of synthesizing them. Trans fats refer to fats that contain trans fatty acids which are formed by the process of hydrogenation. Trans fatty acids are not normal and are difficult to metabolize. They should be avoided.

Saturated fats and trans fats clog and cause hardening of the arteries. It is preferable not to eat either one.
