Yes, I am in support of border and immigration enforcement. I believe we have left this for far too long and things have gotten out of control. I think we need to seal up the borders and start consistently enforcing our immigration laws, regardless of the cost because the cost now will be huge savings and gains in the long-run and that is what matters most. I do not want amnesty for ANY illegal immigrants currently in the country, ever again as that has proven in the past to NOT help curb the problem of illegal immigration and, quite the opposite, it only encourages more to come illegally with the hope that another amnesty will be granted down the road, if they just hang in there. Get rid of ALL the carrots dangling to entice illegal immigration, including scrapping the out-dated "anchor baby" law. Deport, deport, deport ALL illegal immigrants as they are found and convict employers who hire illegal immigrants. Down the road, when the dust settles, re-open immigration with new updated laws and then enforce them by the book!

I am absolutely in favour of proper Border control and immigration enforcement. Without secure and well-defined borders a country has no business calling itself a country. Immigration enforcement is necessary because excessive and unchecked illegal immigration will cause problems (state aid, national security, housing, etc.) in addition to short-changing the citizens and the legal immigrants.
As for the ones already in... I'm not sure which solution will be good... that's a question for another time I guess.

Yes sir!! Because if we had been doing so all along perhaps we wouldnt be in the predicament we are in when it come to illegal immigration. I believe we should close our borders first and then go on to deport the illegals in our jails and committing welfare fraud. Then let's implement a screening program for those applying for benefits so we can catch the illegals trying to use fake ss#s and deport them. I am in favor of granting amnesty or implementing a guest worker program for those proven to have been working steady for the past ten years with no criminal record and never having been on gov aid. There is lots that can be done that would please both sides if we could all just stop bad mouthing each other and work together, anything has to be better than what's being done now.....nothing.

Yes and no.
Yes - I'm an immigrant, and the opportunity to live in this country is the greatest thing to ever happen to me. If I had been an illegal, I don't know if I would have regretted it. However...
No - Now, as a US citizen, I hate to see my hard-earned dollars go to supporting people who have no legal right to reside in the country. Border controls curb eventual overpopulation and prevent legal citizens' tax money into funding things like state aid for illegals.
I know, I'm a total hypocrite. My argument has probably hurt more than helped you, but I hope the double perspective grants you some insight.

Absolutely! I dont care if anyone comes to the country... as long as it's legally. This country can not continue to support illegal immigrants. If they are here legally... and paying their fair share of taxes, they are ALL welcome.
Re-open Ellis Island!

Yes, but first we have to stop the Americans that knowingly hire them. If employers won`t hire illegals because of fear of jail then a large part of the motivation is weakened for coming here.

YES! Because I believe that only Americans and legal immigrants should be benefitting from my tax money, and should be living in my country.
