I think my mom is loosing first of all we just got into it about a situation with my dad,now shes off her rocks about a doll.She asked what my daughter wanted for x-mas I told her this dance toy and amazing allison. My mom said forget about amazing allison. I said okay whats up with amazing allison. She said nothing then I said no someones name has to be allison. Who don't you like with the name allison. She said thats the name of the woman her ex cheated on her with. So do I get my daughter the doll or not get it because my mom has an issue with it because its called amazing allison?

Get the doll and call her "Amazing Amanda," instead. Your daughter will probably not know the difference. And your mother should just GROW UP!!

Get the doll for your daughter. Your mother hanging onto an issue that happened to her in the past. Why should your daughter suffer becuase your mother chooses not to let the past go? LIfe does not have to come to a stand still because the name, "Allison" upsets her. Maybe if you allow your mother to see it from this perspective and see how rediculous it is to prevent her grandaughter from getting the doll she wants for Christmas...because its name is Allison? Sheesh. I'd bet she might see how silly that is and lighten up. lol

rename the doll, anyway there is an Amazing Amanda at Walmart I just saw it there today next to Amazing Alyson, same manufacture.

I would get over the issue...it really isn't that important. If you have no issues w/ the doll get it for your daughter, that is what she wants. It is not your Moms daughter, do it respectfully but this really is ridiculous. Its a doll!

If your daughter wants the doll really bad..just get it and tell her you will only buy it if she renames it...If she doesnt really want it then dont get it...
