She was six, but nine when the marriage was consummated, and she was not forced. That was common in that day and he was not the only one to do this.

You need only to do a little research to find that this was common practice that is not done in this day and age. It is all throughout history.

"In India during the 1860’s, marriage meant girls getting married below 8 or 9 years old. Socio-reform religious movements such as the Brahmo Samaj and the Arya Samaj pioneered work against child marriage. Late in the 1860’s some success was met when the Indian Penal Code prohibited intercourse with a wife who had not reached ten years of age.

Nevertheless, it wasn’t until 1880 that child marriage as a problem became a public issue in India during the debate on the Age of Consent Bill."

"We know of cases on the other hand where very 'mature' men took wives many years younger. The scribe Qenherkhepeshef of Deir el-Medina, for example, married the 12-year-old girl Nanakht when he was 54."

She was nine when they got married...and she wasn't forced

Many people have spoken about this subject thousands of times, and still I'd say the same thing = "back at those times, girls in general used to grow up faster than modern times, and they used to get married young"

You're just trying to find a way to mock our beloved Prophet Mohammed (prayers & peace be upon him), but it's just not working

Mohammed married her at the same time as she change into 6 and had sex which include her at the same time as she change into 9. Her call change into Aisha and she tells her tale in the Hadiths. Muslims will attempt to disclaim this despite the indisputable fact that the evidence is ideal of their sacred texts. each and every of the evidence factors that she change into 9 at the same time as Mohammed consummated the marriage. curiously, in Islam if a lady menstruates she is a lady hence any guy could have sex which include her.

She was not forced to marry him. He took good care of her, it's not like he wanted her just for sex. She was his wife. If she was forced to marry him why did she speak nothing but good words about him until her death. These words were recorded. Go read some hadiths. It was the commonality of his time so stop slamming him for that. Her age was considered normal for marriage at that time. Do you think his is a unique case? Even his worst enemies who tried to think up every possible false hood against him during his life-- never once used his marriage to her as belittling propaganda.

I don't care what the other people on here say. Even back then it WAS NOT normal practice for a 6 year old to marry! There may have been a contract signed for a later time but they did not normally marry at six. Geesh!

She had reached an age where she was considered a woman and she was not forced. There was no concept of 18 being the adult age. A girl was considered a woman when she hit puberty, but don't worry your ignorance won't let you understand this.
