I don't really understand what your question is (I want to say?) but we have one idea I would like to correct about islam from Tristan.
"Jihad" is usually misunderstood an "killing" (which is "Kital"). Jihad means to fight, struggle or to strive for something so my act of writing this could be described as "Jihad". In its ultimate form, it can refer to a war situation where "kital" would be more appropriate. Jihad does not mean "Killing".
"Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in God hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And God heareth and knoweth all things." (Surah 2 Verse 256)
Each verse also has a context and a particular situation for which it was revealed. For example, the next example from tristan in context with preceeding and following verse (8:38-40) is:
38 Tell those who disbelieve that if they cease (from persecution of believers) that which is past will be forgiven them; but if they return (thereto) then the example of the men of old hath already gone (before them, for a warning).
39 And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is all for Allah. But if they cease, then lo! Allah is Seer of what they do.
40 And if they turn away, then know that Allah is your Befriender - a Transcendent Patron, a Transcendent Helper!
Read for youself... The real Quran is in arabic, but in any other language, we need to be careful about the translations.

Allah the only one God wants us in this world keep peace. But satans will always tempt us to make a quarrel,a war, killing, murde
ring and bloodsheds.Allah created us humans in some groups,ra
ces and ethnics with different religion for help and love each other and make this world more prosperous and do not make damages.
We must seek the equality not the difference among us and work together for making a fruitful effort for mankind..Let us do not talk other's wrong doings but other's good doings whatever their beliefs. We must strengthen our friendship all over the world.
Winning the war will be a charcoal and lossing the war will be an ashes.

lol..dude put it in perspective. Japan and China aren't even christian countries...Germany had basically abandoned any religion besides the dogma of nazis, which was not christian. As for the US, USSR and the British Empire..it was kill or be killed. Be real. Not to say christians didnt do thier part to ravage others...but hey...they are a part of a very big club of those who raped and murdered for ideology. I pray for peace everyday. But you know what...everyone has to want it. If even a few arent willing to go with peace, then there is no peace. Make sense?

I am "A" religious because I find it sad and futile to kill and or be killed over religion. It is about time all peoples came to realise that we ARE all the same under the skin and that none should dictate a strict set off feelings. This should not however preclude a culture but many cultures preclude freedom.
The problem with any religion is that inarticulate people read into it the EXACT interpretation of the written word by that faith leaving them (and possibly others) at the mercy of articulate but corrupt or mental so called seniors.
One only has to look at so called al Quaeda or some Muslim or Christian sects to see this.
Unfortunately many so called leaders ARE corrupt. How many Rabbi's and Roman Catholic priests go "Kiddy Fiddling" and so on. Show me a religion and I will show you bigots!!!

Let us see what Christian Crusaders did.
World War 1 (Aug. 1914 to Nov. 1918) = 65 million men mobilized, more than 10 million killed and more than 20 million wounded.
World War II (1939-1945) 110 million persons mobilized for military service, more than half of those by three countries: the USSR (22-30 million), Germany (17 million), and the United States (16 million). For the major participants the largest numbers on duty at any one time were as follows: USSR (12,500,000); U.S. (12,245,000); Germany (10,938,000); British Empire and Commonwealth (8,720,000); Japan (7,193,000); and China (5,000,000).
Estimated 55 million dead—25 million of those military and 30 million civilian. In terms of money spent, it has been put at more than $1 trillion

Who is coon killer or whatever?
and what is the point of your question exactly?
You know, some times I feel that people justa have to mention the word "Islam" or "Muslim" in any question they post, even if they're talking about something completely different from religions
