i don't think so...
it would be really boring if we all spoke the same language.
i think it's the difference in languages and cultures that makes the world such a facinating place to live in.
and if everyone can be more tolerant and accepting of other cultures and differences in others, then the world would be a better place.

No, certainly not. A single global language would decimate world culture, eliminate industries, and cost an unfathomable amount of time and money. Not to mention, the question of what language would be chosen (Mandarin is, after all, the most spoken language).

Easier. The world would be easier if it had one language; that would certainly aid communication. There wouldn't be any mistakes in translation. It would be much easier to be a tourist in a mono-linguistic world. I think language divides peopls a lot more than it should. The world would be easier with a single language. But would it be better? I can't objectively answer that question.
