Look - you either have respect in a relationship or not. The fact that all he asks for is kisses sounds very sweet and pretty respectfull. The best advice I have ever been given in relation to respect which I pass onto you know is the following ..."All woman are princesses, and should always been treated like princesses, especially while dating/courting; and if they are really really lucky, there husbands will continue to treat them like princesses after the wedding." You sound like to have a good thing going sweetie

This is such the wrong attitude....
I don't know how old you are or if your religion has anything to do with this but let me tell you something, denying sex before marriage is the fastest way to get rid of a guy.
Sex is what people do ok? That is part of the excitement and passion of new love. Respect and a deeper companionship come later (I'm talkin years)... You may get what you want in the short run with this strategy but it won't get you respect. This isn't the 1940's.
On the other hand, if he's obviously a dog and you know that he'll drop you the moment you let him go all the way, then just drop him first.

Loose this guy. Find a guy who will respect you from the beginning. There are guys out there like that. You shouldn't have to coax someone to respect you. Maybe they do one or two things that don't show respect, and they just do it because they don't realize what they're really doing. And if you tell them, and they really respect you, they'll listen, consider and change. They should think of you before themselves.

I think he does have some amount of respect for you. If a guy was just trying to sleep with you he wouldn't waste his time for eight months with no luck. He would be long gone by now. Have a little faith in this guy. He may be thinking a little better of you than you are giving him credit.

You need to be sure to stick to your morals and ideals. No compromising them! If you do not take any junk from a man (no need to be mean about it, just firm) then the respect is long lasting. Trust me, I learned the hard way.

Respect yourself first and others will respect you. If you don't set these standards for yourself, how do you expect them to listen to you?
You loving him has nothing to do with this.... you have to be loving yourself first.
