what do you think about art paintings?

i'm looking for opinions about how people fell toward art paitings, do you like them or not? and why? any painting, i just want a general answer about art

I'm making a poll for my art project and it will be a lot of help if you could include your gender and age, thank you very much.

Yes, I like paintings a lot and go to museums fairly often to enjoy them. Looking at them seems to cleanse my soul.

I like to paint. I dig the technics used and sometimes mixing it up a bit and adding drawings to it for a different effect. That's what I like about it, you can get a ton of different effects just by a single brush stroke. It's different from any other form of art because it's (to me) more forgiving.

With painting you deffinately only get out of it what you put into it. You can just slap something up there and call it fininshed or you can take your time and spend a month.

It can be subjective or photorealistic. It's just great to work with.

The big thing about it is it takes time to get good at it. But then again that's the way it is with everything.

A liking of art may be due to an instant visual attraction or cultural, subjective significance to the particular artwork, they may prove to be stressing or relaxing towards the audience, this varies upon each individual- your age, status, gender, previous art experience and occupation.
As a result Mona Lisa is extremely controversial.

interesting question....i love painting and i love looking at paintings...i think in some way everybody likes it even if they dont consider themselves to be an artist or an art lover....art is everywhere!...cereal boxes, cartoons on tv, everywhere u look u see art....its a psychological thing people would rather look at anything other than a blank plain white surface
