I lost my voice for awhile (it is back again but no longer sing public functions as it has changed with age., so I read the hymns and vs by vs and chorus by chorus, write down what it is saying, at least to me. It is fun, interesting, uplifting, inovative, challanging and I found one with the words on one page and the composer and lyrisit on the opposite=helps understand why they wrote the hymns and often under dire circumstances.

Sounds like a really neat idea. I sometimes print out the words to hymns and just read them before prayer.

Put your shoulder to the wheel push along,
Do your duty with a heart full of song,
We all have work,
Let no one shirk,
Put your shoulder to the wheel.

One of my favorite hymns from childhood. It's a Mormon hymn, I'm no longer practicing but this one brings me peace. It soothes me.
