My hair is kinda the same way. Using a hair claw/banana clip/whatever you want to call it, make a messy French Twist. Grab all of your hair at the nape of your neck and twist while pulling up. Clip it. The top may be messy, and you may have some loose strands of hair. If the top is poofed up too much for your taste, pull some of it over to the side and secure it with a bobby pin. Also, you can take the loose strands and secure those with bobby pins as well, but I think it's cute to leave a few down around your face and neck. The wavier your hair is, the cuter this looks (and you can pull off a messy look better).

ok
first you have to have curl shaping gel (THAT WORKS!!)
then get in the shower and get your hair wet.
then put thegel in your hair and scrunch it up it your scalp...
the gel will dry and it will be wet curls!! its so easy~
