Is there a healthy substitute for steroids? The obvious answer is of course there is. DHEA, creatine, etc, etc. Now, if you are asking is there a healthy substitute for steroids that give the same results? Then the answer is a resounding NO. I was a competitive bodybuilder that competed on the state and national level. I used steroids and HGH. I got great results. I was big before taking them but used them to get to the next level, especially on the national contests. They are effective and the physical complications can be many. Since I no longer compete, I no longer use steroids but still use DHEA and creatine. I still train and am still big. Just not as big. While they are effective, they do not nearly produce the results of the anabolics. So finally, your question again has two answers. There are healthy substitutes but none that produce the same dramatic results. Think about it. If there were healthy substitutes that produced the same results as steroids and HGH, then why use them?

That depends on why you want the steroids. Legitimately, steroids are used to reduce inflammation. We now know that fish oil, vitamin D, and phytochemicals found in plant foods will also help reduce inflammation. There is a BIG interest in the role of vitamin D, since most of us are not getting enough sun to develop vitamin D, nor are we drinking much fortified milk which has about 100 IU vitamin D per cup.
So the question is, what do you need the steroids for?

I don't think it's as easy as that luv. If you're going to substitute donuts for bacon then you're going to have double your nicotine and caffeine intake. Of course, depending on whether these donuts are iced or plain, then you need to look at adding another Bloody Mary to the meal and reducing your cold left overs. Nutrition is such a difficult thing to balance luv so I recommend you just have donuts and bacon and cross the bridge of blocked arteries and high blood pressure when you come to it.
