For physical reason that will be left unmentioned, I'm trying to think of an alternative to wearing a wedding band. What is something, other than a ring, that would symbolize being married, and be visible, or partly visible? Anyone have any ideas?

How about something around your wrist, some type of gold ID bracelet, get matching ones. Or a necklace with a special, matching pendant. Good luck.

Sorry but the ring is the symbol of marriage. If you want to use something else then you can pick what ever you want because you are making a new tradition so it can be whatever you want.

You might just have a single ring ceremony, many men do not have wedding rings or you might get a ring for the pinkie instead of the ring finger.

If you must, you could get an ID type bracelet and have it appropriately engraved.

I like the above suggestion. You could have a wedding ring tattooed on your finger. you would then have a ring without having to wear one.

You are right about the titanium not being able to be resized, however tungsten is also the same. White gold is the next best bet for a guy that wants a resizable ring, it does turn slightly yellow over time but this can be corrected by having the ring re-rhodium plated, typically a inexpensive job at a jewelry store. We use to charge $20 at the store I managed. On the flip side, if you like the titanium or tungsten they are pretty inexpensive, so just replace it if necessary, or buy a couple of different sizes when you buy yours. In my experience men's fingers change less often in size then womens.

Good question, the ring is such a well known symbol trying to think of something else is very hard. A necklace with one of her rings on it would definitely symbolize being "taken", but as for signifying marriage I can't say that it would. A tattoo of some kind that is visible could also work, with maybe your date of marriage and hearts, however may not be professional depending on your profession.

A wedding ring is a universal symbol of the fidelity of marriage.
But you are not alone in the fact that you cannot wear one. My hubby could not wear one due to his work.

But the ring is not what makes you married. And your behavior around other women should be reflective of that union.
If a woman is bold enough to make advances to you, politely tell her you love another.

you could put the ring on a chain around your neck. make sure it's durable, like sterling silver or even gold. or you could use a sturdy leather cord. or if you wanted it to be more visible, wear it on your right hand. i'm sure people will understand.
good luck!!
