Right here is a pretty good place to start. I've made a couple of attempts, but got lucky and failed. Fortunately, a friend turned me on to a neat book that helped tremendously before it was too late. Read my story: http://www.geocities.com/seabulls69/AntidepressantThatWorks.html

I recently attempted suicide. I took a lot of pills to put myself to sleep because I couldn't face the world I was living in and the lack of control I had over my life. I figured it would just be better if I didn't wake up. My boyfriend for 3 years found out what I did right afterwards. I was rushed to the hospital and the drugs were flushed out of my system. I stayed at the hospital for a total of 4 days and was almost admitted to a Phycatric Hospital. I couldn't believe the support and love I recieved while I stayed in the hospital. People that I thought would be glad to be rid of me, cryed by my bedside and were extremely happy that I was alive. I realized how selfish I was to put my family and friends in that situation. Even though I did something extremely selfish, no one yelled at me, called me stupid, or loved me any less. I also realized that I didn't need to commet suicide to get people's support and love. My life has completely turned around from this experience. I've been speaking with a Phycatrist(sp?) about my depression, and it makes me feel better about myself and strong that I can talk to someone, who has an outside oppion, about my problems. I am so happy that I got a second chance at life. I really didnt realize the severity of my depression and illness. Please, Please don't hurt yourself any more. Because if you feel like no one is there for you, or that no one cares about you its not true. I care about you and I dont even know you. Find someone you can trust or someone through your school to help council you and guide you in the right direction. There are laws to keep your private feelings and information private. Don't be afraid. You arent and wont be the first person to have this problem and people are their to help you. You are so young still and have so many oportunities ahead of you. I trust that you will do the right thing because you can admit you have a problem. Most people can't do that. You are a lot stronger then you give yourself credit. Please seek help and know that not everything is hopeless. I had to learn it the hard way.
With All My Love
A.M.

In just about every town or city in the US there is a phone no. for a Crisis Help Line in the phone directory. Call them now and they will tell you what to do. Your call is anonymous. Or, call you local mental health agency. If you feel the need to hurt yourself, call a friend to take you to the nearest ER. They can make referrals also

Try to find a counselor in your area, talk to an adult that you can trust. A major first step is realizing you need help, and I'm grateful that you have realized this and I think that's really great of you that you've realized this. Try talking to a counselor, an adult that you can trust, or a doctor. You'll be okay. You'll make it through this, I know you will.

Here is the website for the National Suicide Hotline. And I would go to a local hospital, a doctor there and refer you to a psychiatrist.

So you only want help for an attempted suicide? You don't actually want to die...you just want to attempt.
I can't say that I know anyone who can help you do that.
Good luck though.
