Alzheimer is an older person disease but can be found in younger people it is the graduall loss of memory brain power and in extreme cases the brain sometimes does not give the signal for the person to breathe It is tragic for older people when they first get it but later they have no recollection so it is not painful mentaly or physically.

It is when there is a build up of amyloid plaque and tangles in the brain and it crowds out the areas of the brain regarding memory, but then progressively it interferes with other functions and is one of the saddest, most prolonged disease there is because the person basically becomes like a vegetable.

it is typical in older people. they forget things easily. there are different extremes to it. ( it is a disease) some people don't remember their family some just don't remember something that they said perhaps an hour ago.
