What the hell is a fruit cake?

Literally, it is a very rich cake with small jelly candy like pieces,with nuts inside.Very sweet or otherwise can be used to describe an eccentric, crazy person...Like "You must be a fruitcake to ask what a fruitcake is..."

Fruit cake was made when flour was limited to the major ingredient was fruit, mostly canned or candied (preserved). Many were then roll in liquor to add moisture and flavor.

Modern fruit cakes are hard candies and very little cake, and are regifted year after year (and now as hard as a rock).

kidding it umm this fruity cakey stuff that tastes like umm.. well grab a bunch of rotten fruit wrap it in a bread and eat it thats what it tastes like *shivers* not very tasty. *looks around* *sees ice cream* ICE CREAM runs after it.
