I am a religious person who knows all about ethics and morals and I can understand why certain things shouldn't be done and why some things are wrong and why we shouldn't mess with certain things and why we shouldn't play God, but I still haven't found a reason why cloning is wrong. Give me a convincing argument as to why it is. It's just like identical twins, just made at different times, right?
And I don't want your answer to be "it's just not natural because God made it so that certain things are to be done between a man and woman and it's all about love..." What about in vitro? If cloning is wrong, does this mean in vitro is wrong too? Why is it wrong to help a couple who can't have a child on their own without scientific and medical interference? So why can't we clone?
Note: I think it's important to say that I see absolutely no reason why we should ever clone, but that doesn't mean I think its wrong. Can you understand what I'm thinking?

You're making life with cloning when only God should be doing that. We don't have the authority to create life.
IVF is wrong because God is showing those people not to bare children. That's why many people, including myself, are infertile. It's a way of controlling the overgrowing population. Just because you have the machinery, doesn't give you the right to overuse it. You use IVF and end up with up to 10 children when you planned for one. That's not right. You don't HAVE to have children just because you have the equipment.
You can still have children via adoption. There are children out there growing up without parents. People are selfish and only think about themselves; not about the waiting children. Don't add to the population problem when God is showing you not to.

you brought up some good points,we will start with vitro. that is combining sperm with an egg and putting it in a womans womb. i dont believe this is wrong because it helps a baron woman to concieve. but cloning is different. it is making a carbon copy of someone who already exsists. this clone does not have a soul. i think that creation of a bieng without a soul is moraly wrong.like you said it is playing God and i would not want to be caught doing that.

I am for the cloning of farm animals but against human cloning;because I feel that human needs the genetic variations to produce a healthy human population to survive;also the social problems human clones would encounter don't justify it.

Because when you are cloning a human being you know the exact outcome of what they will look like, the sex, the height they will be, ect.... to clone is to make an identicle copy.
Each one of us is differant, that is God's miracle...
If cloning becomes common-- then eventually we would be developing the 'perfect human being'
I think that science has it's goals and purposes and I just dont see how human cloning is going to benefit society. We should continue fighting human disease and infections with science-- not making a factory to breed human beings.

I wished cloning was allowed. I would clone my boyfriend. I would send the clone to go to work for him. My bf works for the railroad (engineer) and I hardly get to see him and spend time with him. we live in different cities and in Janurary we will be moving in together. But even then, there will be days that i wont see him for two days.Cloning him would be wonderful.

I understand your thinking, however, I believe that if God doesn't cause the creation, it does not have a soul.
