Think about what is more important to you. If you value your friendship you wouldn't go out with him. If he asks you out don't tell him it's because your friend likes him (unless she is OK with him knowing).
If your friendship with this girl is more of an associate type thing (you only speak to her during school) then I would go for it. But if that is what you decide to do, let your friend know ahead of time so she doesn't feel as though you went behind her back.
Remember friends usually last a lifetime, whereas boys come and go

Well, don't loose your friendship, just talk to your friend about it, see what she thinks, if you like him don't let your friend get in the way but dont loose a friend over a guy.

I think that you should talk it over with your friend so that there are no surprises and find out who would last a longer relationship with him. Like who loves him more towards who he is and not oooooo he's so hott!

Let him choose.
But never, ever let a guy get between you and your friend. Talk to her about it and see where she stands on the whole thing.

maybe he likes you and not your friend and its not your fault he likes you and not your friend so your friend should get over something like that. Press the guy maybe he likes someone.

Be honest with her about things ... not blunt as to lessen the blow. See how things go from there.

well if you think it would destroy your friendship to date the guy, don't go there - would she date him if the tables were turned? but if he likes you and isn't in to her, its too bad for her. you can't control who he is attracted too.
