I don't put anything past the Mexicans. Their time is coming, and I hope that they are ready.

Drug cartels have been notoriously involved in many operations. They have infiltrated many agencies that will allow them to transport illegal cargo, of course. The Roman Catholic church is involved, in mexico. A cardinal was shot in a similar manner back in the early nineties. Many of the artists that sing about them are not necessarily praising them. In fact, many of them hear stories and turn them into song, making enemies with the wrong people. Just look up the story of Chalino Sanchez. Famous people being shot by drug cartels is nothing new at all.

I think border enforcement is really important. If it weren't for the fact that we've had 20 years of laxness on the border, a lot of this wouldn't be going on today. A lot of people think the border fence concept is a bad idea, but honesty is the best policy, and if we're going to be honest about the border issue and drugs and the whole bit, Mexico can support its' own citizens, and the whole business has caused a lot of problems in america. So, you nail the border shut, and everybody kind of stop and think about things for a while, and when everyone finally gets sane and sober again, then you start talking about opening it up again. But, this whole business has gotten kind of crazy, so until that happens, I support border enforcement.

If those music stars are involved with mobsters, then I'm glad they're paying the consequences of their actions. Some of those so called stars write songs glorifying Mafiosos and receive tons of money and protection in exchange for those services. This only shows that there is no such thing as easy money, sooner or later you pay for it.

If Americans don't think we are at war with at least a part of Mexico, this sort of post should convince them. Hey, terrorism is terrorism, no matter who does it.
Only guns and bombs are going to stop those yo ho's running dope, braceros and worse across our borders.
Not sure the US has the juevos to really win that war. One more reason to cut and run from Democratic Capitolism and all it's "benfits".

Elizalde's anti-drug message was atypical of what's going on in regional Mexican music. Most of them sing songs of praise to drug traffickers and smooth over the violence. Two hugely profitable and famous groups that tour constantly in the U.S., Los Tucanes and Los Tigres de Norte, have made fortunes by glorifying narco-trafficantes and illegal immigrants. They fly in under the radar here because so few people understand their lyrics, which are anti-American and pro-Atzlan, while being pro-drug traffickers at the same time. And right now there is a Latin-world famous Guatemala musican named Ricardo Arjona touring the U.S whose big current hit is in praise of illegal immigration. The guy is an old-fashioned Marxist. He is scheduled to give a concert in Washington, D.C. shortly.

That is actually the least of my worries. I worry more about my neighbor having a meth lab and killing us all with the intoxants or in an explosion. (He is A white man)!
