Guys, what would be your intentions in asking a girl you work with if she has a boyfriend and is single? I have had several guys I work with ask me, and also the Hispanics. They say "tienes novio?(do you have a boyfriend?)" and if I say "no tengo novio ahora (I don't have a boyfriend right now)" they say "por que?? tu eres muy bonita (why, you are very pretty?)" Do guys just ask that out of curiosity and for conversation or are they interested??

Thanks!!

when someone asks whether or not you are single, it probably means that they are interested in dating you..

but their follow up comment doesn't sound very nice.. i hate when people make assumptions simply based on someone being single and/or based on their looks.

The Hispanics you work with probably just want to flirt with you and compliment you in hopes of you getting with them. Kind of like a cheesy thing to say "you dont have a boyfriend? but your'e really pretty..."

They're probably about getting @ss, they're not interested in your personality most likely.
