Pray, and give God thanks for what you do have - even if it is only His grace! As it is written, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

I also recommend reading the Psalms....great men of God like King David also went through periods of great despair.

Oh, one more thing...regarding the "good guys never win" comment....keep in mind that the finish line is not here, it is in heaven. And so as it is written, "Many who are last will be first and many who are first will be last..." Jesus Himself didn't appear to "win" here on earth (to those with worldly eyes)...but truth be told He triumphed.

God Bless....

Hi, About 3 years ago November started a down fall for me when it comes to hope/faith basically the same thing. One thing after another started to happen in my life and to people who are very dear to me. All have been BAD. I prayed and prayed, I believed every time that God would be present in the situations and every time I looked and looked and I could not find God anywhere except in the fact that none of these people actually died. But their life and mind has been turned upside down and all these people are depressed badly. I just about totally turned from God. I am a born again christian. Anyway a couple of weeks ago I was alone and I thought I might be having a heart attack. Well, the first thing I did was start praying and I am still here. As soon as I started to pray I felt guilty because I was so upset with God that closed him out and then I was begging him to keep me alive and ok. There is something in your soul that happens and you start to regain your faith.. I will tell you the devil did a good job of stealing mine for a while. Think if there is no God what is there. If there is a God you must have faith in him to deliver you to him. He said we would have trials and tribulations on this earth. I know it is hard to go thru them when you feel like God should be there to help you not have those bad thinks in your life. We will understand all of it when we get to heaven. Don't let the devils in this world steal your soul. God Bless

Perhaps you need some perspective. Good guys will sometimes lose for a while, but in the grand scheme of things, if they don't give up, they make a much larger difference.

Sometimes life hurts. Sometimes it seems unfair. I've come to believe though, that it's mostly perspective. I can have bad moments, but that doesn't make a bad day. If I've maintained my own integrity, if I've done what I thougt to be right, if I've helped others, the bit of discomfort I've had in doing so is usually worth it.

Do you consider yourself valuable? Do you feel that you have a purpose here? Has your God given you a calling? Do what you were put on this earth to do, and the rest WILL come to pass. Sit back, with your butt on the pity pot, and the misery and pain will rise up and consume you.

It's your choice. Make the right one.

Try looking at smaller parts of the problem and remove them, this will eventually remove the whole problem.
Get help - is always an option.
Adjust your thinking about what winning is. Life is not a timed game, or a solo game.
Life needs friends for support, and knowledge that there is no timetable in life. Regroup and restart as many times as needed.
What have you lost hope of doing? Write it down - list smaller sections of objective, as I said earlier. As you breakdown your problem, you should see solutions appear. Also you may see where people can help reach your goal.
Sorry, good guys DO win.
There is ALWAYS HOPE.

Pray about and if it's not ment to be it won't be. God has a plan for each and every one of us, we don't know what the plan is but we know that God will never let us down.

Here's some verses about hope -Psalm 42 ; Psalm 130 ;Romans 5: 1-11;Colossians 1:3-27; 1 Peter 1:3-9

Hope this Helps!!!

That isn't true, good guys find good girls, and a lot more. Read your Bible and pray to Jesus Christ for help. If you don't know him, you can start by reading the book of John in the Bible. Ask Jesus Christ to forgive your sins, and to come into your heart, He will if you really mean it. Cheer up, tomorrow is a new day. Look at life with hope, and make new friends.

He is a wonderful answer for hope, I believe no matter how bad this life gets, I'm living for a better after-life, with that perspective it helps me get through the down times. God bless my friend.

No not rue, its not what it appears, Jesus also was a good guy and the world killed him, But He was raised from the dead and God gave him everything! So when you lose hope read your bible and find out that Jesus said be strong and couragous, and if God is for you who can be against you!

Realize that you are not alone, realize that you are going through a little depression right now. Know that things can't stay the way they are, change is inevitable. Finally, try God.
