If you are taking in more than you are burning off you will indeed gain and NOT lose weight. Doesn't matter how much water you drink.

I usually use water for remedy...not just for weight loss but it also makes my skin healthy too... It actually works for me, I can eat anything I want as long as I drink lots of water and yes more than 2-3 litres a day. The trick is that it will accumulate the space in your stomach so that you wont eat to much. To avoid over eating try to chew the food eagerly and maybe spare five to ten seconds before having an another bite with the food and make an alternative routine like after two or three bites grab a glass of water. This will make u full before you finish your plate. If ever you feel hungry eat then drink wate again.. well it helps though... Just dont for get to exercise in the long run ibecause this will help you increase your metabolism and reduce unnecessary fats in the body.

Well, I think what people often try to say is that if you drink water instead of soda (for example) you will not gain those unnecessary calories that overtime lead to unnecessary pounds. See your body retains water. The more water you drink, the less water your body tends to retain as it knows there is a steady flow of water available. Plus it develops your metabolism. Can you eat the foods you want without overeating? I do. I did exactly what you're asking, I eat whatever I want (in reasonable amounts), I work-out on a daily basis, and drink lots and lots of water. Its been working so far.

I've been close to my ideal weight for the past 10 years
the cause for my success
I walk at least 30 minutes every day
I eat whatever I want
I drink at least 8 glasses of water a day
when I don't drink the water, the weight starts to come back
and
it sure gives me a lot of energy
and
it flushes out the toxins so I'm not sick very often
generally speaking
since were made of mostly water, it's good for yah!
Enjoy!

portion control is the key to your success...not the water. and if you have your last meal before five oclock and dont eat again until morning that will take weight off quick becuase you arent consuming calories any where near the time you are going to sleep giving you plenty of time to burnt hem off. its not necessarily what you eat but when and how much

just do it this way...when you wake up it the morning... wiegh yourself... go to your daily routine... eat what you have to go on water therapy (usually 3 or 5 liters a day of PURE water) then weigh yourself the next day... you may find that you have GAINED weight instead of loosing it.
when you take in water some will be excreted via urine, feces, sweat and the air that you breath out... but you will still put on weight because your cells will tend to wallow in the 'extra' water that you have taken in... and if you like eating sodium rich foods and are living a sedentary lifestyle... you may find yourself with edema...
if you still can't picture it... try putting yourself in a boxer's life... boxer's have to monitor their weight because of the weight requirement that they have in every fight. which means... even their fluid intake is monitored... it's the reason why boxers who have a lot of fluids in their body have to constantly work out, take baths often and monitor fluid intake... and if you are a boxer who is underweight you can compensate by taking in more water to gain weight.

you should drink enough water to make your urine clear in consistency, but not in color. if urine has no color you are drinking too much water. but......... water helps to increase metabolism, that is how it helps to lose weight, and also helps to keep your body cleansed. also how it helps to lose weight. the higher your metablism is, the more calories you consume or use. and the more you can eat without gaining weight make sense? oh and dr.s don't always know as much as they think they do. they only know what they are taught always remember that

I read in a healthy diet book....one that helps you pick better food and excersise....that drinking large quanitys of water does NOT help you lose weight...but in combination of working out and eating healthy it will help keep your body healthier. Its good for your skin and your hair. It improves your digestion. Hope this helps...if i find the book i will post the name of it .
