As a Christian I won't condemn you to any Hell. But I wonder if you knew there was a Heaven (granted you probably don't believe in one) but if I could prove to you it's there... wouldn't you want to experience that. And to know how easy it is attainable. I prefer to teach about how Christ loved and died for you, not scare you. So, in a way I agree, Christians shouldn't do that, most are unable to make any other point. The ones that are different are the ones where you can actually see the love of Christ in them for the way they treat others.

You know, I'm a Christian, and if people are saying that to you and bugging you, without you starting up the discussion first, then why don't you just tell them to F*** off and piss on them, literally if that will make them leave you alone.
If you ever want to check out a more stable, non-judgmental religion, they do exist and the Episcopal Church in the USA is an example. Good luck to you.

I am a Christian and believe that many Christians unfortunately give Jesus a bad name going back to Constantine. Tell them words never have made as deep an impression on you as actions. Tell them the success and effectiveness of their lives is something you want to see, not hear.

I tell them that my god loves me and will not make me suffer for being human. I frankly do not care if that upsets anyone or not and if it does, it is their feelings, their problem, I will walk away from them with a smile on my face and hopefully a kind feeling in my heart toward them - that's not always easy, but I believe that I need to try as hard as I can.

It's nearly impossible to tell a christian that you don't believe their god exists at all, or that their religion is untrue, without offending them and getting the "you're going to hell" lecture.
I've tried reasoning with them and all that but it just doesn't work. They believe that what they "practise" is true, even if you point out fallacies that everyone who isn't christian would be able to see if it was point out to them.

I usually just smile and pretend they're right.
There is no way to politely tell Christians because anything that doesn't go with their religion offends them.
P.S. This only goes to hardcore Christians who tell people that they are going to hell in the first place.
Most Christians I know don't damn me to hell.

Ok, you wont upset a christian by saying that, it does not affect us if you go to hell, it only affects us if we did not warn you, then the Bible says God will hold us responsible for your blood. but if I discharge my duties as a minister of the word , your blood is on your own hands! Go read John and see what Jesus is talking about , he tells of a secret spiritual kingdom and how to receive it by his HOLY SPIRIT!. Now I am free from your own blood! I told you. weather you believe or not!
close your eyes and think that your computer is not in front of you! That does not make it so, it is still there weather you acknowledge it or not. Same with God!

I'm a Christian and I think it's not polite to tell people they are going to hell... just tell them you don't believe in hell.
Peace :-)

It sadly is impossible. Unfortunately, no matter what you say...they think they are right. They're not obviously, but you can just smile and walk away, knowing that what happens when you die will be magical, and at least you didn't devote your life to a lie.
If these people are pushing their religion on you, you don't need them in your life.

You would not upset me if you denied hell or heaven but I know I would try in any way to change your mind. I think that you should just politley tell them you have your ideas on life and are not planning on converting any time soon.
I do hope you change your mind though...
