if you're concerned talk to her about it...when no one else is around...tell her what you've noticed and that you are concerned about her and her health...tell a teacher or mom or counselor...she might get mad for awhile but you could be saving her life...let her know that you are there for her and will help her through this in any way that you can..

Yeah, well bright girl what do you think? Yes, the skinny white girl is yet another victim of the pathetic media driven obsesion with being thin. Did you know that your friend would be healthier being 5lbs over the normal wieght for her height and body frame than 5lbs under. Tell her that she can have a heart attack, stroke, and severe brain damage and wind up as a vegetable pulling that anorexia crap. Being A nurse I see it some times and it really is just a matter of being attention starved and sadly love and validation starved. She needs to be told on, ratted out, exposed, by YOU if you acctually are her friend. Tell your teacher, tell her mom tell your mom tell the PE teacher and the school nurse. The more people that know the more negative attention she will attention she will get for her behavior which will pressure her to seek help. Also, watch her like a hawk and make sure she's not vomiting and bulimic as well. If she is she could be causing esophogeal collapse, where she will never be able to eat on her own again.
You have seen Terri Shivo? Well anorexia is how she got into that sad possition.

if she only eats one orange a day... then she has an eating problem. Try talking to her and letting her know that you are concerned about her health. If she blows you off and you feel there is really a eating problem then talk to her parents... if she is older then maybe get her friends together and try an intervention! Be prepared for some hard times...

That is not healthy at all. You need to tell someone about her condition fast, because if she is only eating an orange a day she could wind up in the hospital. I am sure you care about your friend a lot. How long have you known about this? Please do something about it, because it is better to have her alive and kicking than in the hospital to weak to survive, and they can get treatment for her. Take care.

Unless she's from Krypton and can live off of sunlight, then only an orange a day would strongly suggest an eating disorder.

One orange a day is not enough nutrition to keep a person alive. Talk to your friend and tell her you're concerned about her. Encourage her to talk to a professional about this. Whatever you do, don't enable her by keeping quiet about it. Tell her if she doesn't seek help on her own you will be forced to tell her mother or husband (whichever applies) your concerns because you love her.

Yes that does sound like anerexia. One orange a day is not much at all. Tell her parents or a school counselor.

She could end up being anorexic if she keep on not eating. She probably just doesn't like her figure. You should try to tell her the dangers on eating disorders.
