People are not ignorant, actually they are wise. Well you see they wont pop up silly questions and try to seek answers if they are really ignorant yaknow. About their God and being religious and all is a way to give balance to people. To let people fear and also that harmony will be with human beings because of the knowledge we have. Hmm For all I know 12 scholar created by the bible and was segregated by Julius Ceasar himself. Hmm I dunno how many times it was been repeated and about James version. All I know is first is it isnt been wrote by the diciples of Christ nor any man who claims himself in the bible since it was not been seen truly by anyone, and another since its interpreted a hundred times the context of the bible change already because of constant changing of the world.

HINT: King James did not write the Authorized Version (KJV). It was translated by a committee of faithful and extremely knowledgeable scholars of Greek and Hebrew, under his authority. BTW, King James did not like the translation, it did not give him the authority he thought he needed as king.
Ignorant? Bible scholars are some of the brightest and best we have in many fields. Michael Behe is one smart cookie when it comes to microbiology.
The Bible has been interpreted many many times to give people the Bible in words and forms they can understand it. How many history books have been written? Surely (by your logic), you must not believe any of them.

*sigh* yes the whole christianity thing is inaccurate and blown completely out of proportion. If everyone was smart and only a few people were ignorant, we couldnt get in little groups and laugh at all the retarded, close-minded big groups. ^_^
maybe someday people will wake up and realize that there are better things than the bible and misinterpreted versions of "god's word" such as coffee, sex, poetry, chocolate, music, and hot showers in the winter. lol

Keep in mind that many Christian denominations require their clergy to learn Koine Greek and/or Biblical Hebrew at seminary. When they get out into the congregations and preach, they have a pretty good understanding of the older texts and convey that meaning in their sermons and pastoral care.

Why do you have to bash the faithful? Do not attack what you do not understand.
I believe in my God because of personal experiences with Him. Not because of words written a thousand years ago.
