not more than you can pay out of pocket. you are both 21, if it is meant to be, the price and the size of the diamond shouldn't matter. besides that, you both have over 50 years left to upgrade. right now i would think that a down payment on a home would be a sounder investment.

Well, it depends. If she values your love more than hurting your bank account, her ring can be somewhere in the range of $100 to $1000. More expensive rings range from $3,000 to $10,000

A lot of women, I feel, think that the more expensive the rings (engagement and wedding - because yes, you'll probably have to buy both) the better.

Depends on what type of girl she is. High maintenance will probably want a ring that will break your budget. A more down to earth girl might appreciate something smaller that didn't cost you a lot.

Besides, 21 is too young to get married. Start saving and by the time you're 25, reconsider, then take that money you saved to buy her a ring.

Well, first you buy an engagement ring and then when you get married you buy wedding rings that what you exchange at the wedding!!! Well, it really depends on what your looking for. Are you looking for white gold or yellow gold, how big of a rock, do you want to just get a band or a wedding set which is an engagement ring and a wedding ring, what shape of diamond are you looking for? There are so many things to consider when purchasing a ring. You can find a pretty decent wedding set that is about 1/2 C.T T.W for about $500-$800. You can get a 1/5 of a solitaire (round diamond) engagement ring for about $300. You can get 1/3ct. of a solitaire for about $500. When my boyfriend now my husband and I talked about tying the knot I wanted a diamond wedding band for my engagement ring and then we saved for a nice 1ct. solitaire ring for when we got married. A nice Diamomd wedding band usually run anywhere from $300-800 and of course go up from there but you can get a pretty nive one for about that much. You should check out www.zales.com and just browse around. Good Luck and hoped that I was helpful!!!

I just helped a guy friend shop for an engagement ring, and I would suggest going for an estate ring if you are on a budget. You can get a truly gorgeous and special estate, vintage or antique ring for around $2,000, and she will be wearing something that no one else has!

Check ebay, local estate or antique shops for a good deal, and don't forget to ask for the best price they can give you at a shop if you are ready to make a purchase...they often will knock off several hundred dollars to close a deal....happy shopping and good luck!

It depends on how much money you make. I've heard between 2 months salary and 6 months salary is appropiate.

I've buying a ring for my girlfriend this spring. I make 48k a year and will spend 8-9k on the ring.

Don't stress too much about the money. There's beautiful rings for 9k or $900.

Most importantly, take your girl out and make sure she LOVES what you're planning on buying before you do make a purchase.

Also, be warned of some jewelry store credit programs. They may be designed to rip you off if you miss a single payment. The last thing you want is for your ring to be repossessed.

Congratulations!

Just for a wedding band or an engagement ring? You can buy a nice set for 1500 and up. If you want to buy something bigger like 1 ct you could be looking at 4000 to 7000.

You can get a wedding band for around $100. Same with engagement ring. That price and up, of course,

Depends on what metal the ring is made of, how elaborate it is, are there any gemstones set in the ring, etc. With as little information as you've given, look for prices anywhere from $200 to a simple gold band to well over $20K.

You can spend from AT LEAST 1000 dollars and the max is like 3000 or 4000 dollars because your wedding is going to cost a lot more. Congratulations.

if you would give your price range it would make matters simpler.
and how much you place on material items verses the meaning
of the rings. when my wife and i were married, she didn't have a care as to what size the ring was and i could have bought her anything but she just wanted plain ole simple bands(heck i was out looking for the fancy stuff) less than $300.00 bucks was what she wanted when we went together to pick'em out. now i have run out of fingers and necks to put anything on, so i guess i'll
build her a new computer(already working on it, it will be a surprise, don't tell).
