I m in the same position as you,so I will tell u what I had researched on the net and by talking to people so far.
I m a toyota fan ,and I was waiting for the new camry 2007. but its base model has so many problems, that I had to think of other options. The new Sonata 2007 ,appears like a dark horse at this time ,with all its standard features,
10 yr warranty,
improved engine ,
quiet and spacious cabin,
good milage
17" alloy wheels
5 star safety testing
affordable sticker tag
everlasting exterior design
consumer ratings 9.4/10
plus a host of options that u can add to a base model

it was really hard for me to digest this initially but what else more you need from a car, if you put all these options in a camry or accord you can end up paying upto 3500$ more.also camry base you can add only ESC,thats it !

As for reliability issues, I m still keeping my fingers crossed as for the past two years since the car was launched ,no bdy has submitted any complaint.

Just under 20k ,I wud go for this car shortly !

I have a 1996 toyota camry that I have had since about 1999. It is still running very well and I have never had to make any serious repairs, except I had to replace the radiator once. (Plus I drive the thing every day and have been on tons of road trips). Camrys are very low maintenance cars and they get great gas mileage to boot. Another perk is that they are very easy to work on. I am a young female who knows close to nothing about cars, and I can change the radiator, brake pads, and the oil. Camrys are very dummy-proof. Also, they are relatively inexpensive.

It depends on your taste. Both are great cars. The Camry is more for comfort while the Accord for a sportier drive.

It depends. If you want the sporty response and feel get the camery. If you prefer a quality luxery get the accord. If you like both, wait untill Honda releases their new accord thet combines sport and luxery in Augest of 2007. Both are gas efficiant.

Assuming all else is equal, flip a coin. Both excellent cars.
