I means the the prophet made war against anyone who does not agree with him. Not very democratic, right?

Mohammad: Quotes from the the prophet

Qur’an:9:88 “The Messenger and those who believe with him, strive hard and fight with their wealth and lives in Allah’s Cause.”
Qur’an:9:5 “Fight and kill the disbelievers wherever you find them, take them captive, harass them, lie in wait and ambush them using every stratagem of war.”
Qur’an:9:112 “The Believers fight in Allah’s Cause, they slay and are slain, kill and are killed.”
Qur’an:9:29 “Fight those who do not believe until they all surrender, paying the protective tax in submission.”
Qur’an:8:39 “Fight them until all opposition ends and all submit to Allah.”
Qur’an:8:39 “So fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief [non-Muslims]) and all submit to the religion of Allah alone (in the whole world).”
Ishaq:324 “He said, ‘Fight them so that there is no more rebellion, and religion, all of it, is for Allah only. Allah must have no rivals.’”

But Isa or Jesus says
John 14.6:Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

I have not any concept what point of hate or disgust it would be, yet some muslims brothers are certainly smug in the direction of non believers. astagfirullah. consistent with hazard the reason being because of the fact people who hate have been hated by the non believers too ,so as that makes it a reaction to an action. @Evelyn..properly reported from the quran, it particularly is definitely completed with finished rigidity on the declared enemies. isn't that what could be completed as quickly as we meet our enemies? we don't welcome them with espresso and truffles and enable them to pillage our honor and entrusted issues. however the quran additionally coach mercy to the fallen enemies, the non combatant, and the quran does no longer rigidity absolutely everyone to transform to islam lest they be killed. Islam is tolerant to different faith. verify out Jerusalem whilst the muslims occupied it, different religions have been commemorated and tolerated. there is not any compulsion in faith.

Stop misinterpreting the Quran. Try to read whole Quran and acknowledge it, before asking any question. Its very harmful to just take a few quotes from a religious text and think it relates to a whole religion.

I'm pretty sure those quotes are out of context. Read the whole part of the koran they are in to get the whole context of them. One I know is referring to battle over 1000 years ago, which has no significance today.

No. The Quran is very specific about "people of the book" and monotheists. The Prophet (PBUH) himself sponsored establishment of a Christian monastery.
