I've been to five doctors, had all kinds of tests, spent a whole lot of money and no one has a clue, so maybe someone on here might know something.....I have a deep, burning pain in the muscles of my upper back, shoulders and upper arms with shooting pains in my hands from my fingers halfway up my forearms, I have no grip anymore and my hands feel like I'm wearing a pair of boxing gloves,I get intense cramps in my calves, biceps and back, my muscles have no stamina at all. This has been slowly coming on over the last ten years or so, getting much worse in the last year....I am a 48 yr old male, construction worker, physically active, don't smoke, don't drink, eat right, take vitamins and work out,.... I've been to an internist,a rheumatologist, 2 neurologists, and a diagnostic clinic. So far no one has a clue,so I'm wondering if anyone here might know of something, maybe my doctors are looking in the wrong place. Thanks for your answers.

it sounds like muscular dystrophy to me...and that is a nervous system problem...look it up and see if you can match your symptoms with muscular dystrophy symptoms

The first hint are you going to a Neurologist? why not? this is where you should be going. It sounds like you have compromised vertebrae in and around the C-3, C-4, C-5 vertebrae with either a pinched nerves, bulging nerves or compressed nerves. being a construction worker is the first hint and I don't see where the doctors missed that. You work with your hands and back, he missed that, your what, 48 years old, gees, they missed that, he struck out on all three as far as I'm concerned.
Go back and ask for an MRI or a CAT scan of the cervical spine area or go see a Neurologist, tell him your story. Ask for something to relive the pain.
If this is right Pal you have a long road ahead of you. take care, Wish I could find out. Make sure they get those MRI's or CAT's of the cervical spine

Sounds just like fibromyalgia. My wife has it and went through a similar fiasco trying to get it dianosed. Try to find a rheumatologist who dianoses and treats fibromyalgia. All tests come back normal. Only a tender points exam can dianose it. just do a search for it on the internet and compare your symptoms. My wife is always in so much muscular pain, it sounds so much like you.

I have fibromyalgia only I have it even in my legs. It sounds like you may have it to. The doctors don't look for this. Go to a doctor that specializes in fibromyalgia. You can look it up on the internet it will tell you all about it

Apparently one of those doctors was not a doctor of Chiropractic.. may find what you are looking for by visiting one.
