The ammonia used as an activator in most boxed hair dyes does damage to hair (splitting and causing hair to be brittle) and the folicles on the scalp that produce and anchor the hair. Used only occasionaly to healthy hair, the ammonia doesn't do too much damage. Repeated abuse, though, thins the existing hair and eliminates the ability for the folicles to reproduce hair. The only real solution, stop dying now. Wash with a more gentle shampoo (like a baby shampoo). If it has truly gone beyond thinning, and "BALD" was not an overstatement, minoxidil, an over the counter hair treatment can help. Ask a doctor before trying the men's strength because of side effects. There are other prescription options (Propecia), but that is not usually recomended for women. If all else fails, you might need to see a dermatologist for more options, or your local wig shop.

the chemicals in the hair color has deteriorated you hair balance and caused hair breakage and some thinning.. u may want to stop coloring your hair for six months so that i can get its strength back. Get to a hair salon quick so they can cut it short .
and look into using some hair products:
-Nioxin kit
-Dr. Miracles hair care line
-talk to a hair stylist and stop the over dying or you'll be wearing a wig

The chemicals damage your hair. So when used often your hair becomes dry and breaks off easily. I think they suggest dying your hair once every few months!!!! Go to a salon and see if they can help ya out.

Because your hair is like completely fried from all the dye. You aren't meant to dye your hair that much. You need to stop or else you will go totally bald- and that would suck.

Wow, i don't think i've ever met anyone that has dyed their hair EVERY week!!! It's not very healthy for your hair because of the chemicals in the hair dye, just like it's not very good to straighten your hair every day because it damages it. So yeah, think before you dye!

You have burned the roots of your hair. If i were you i would just let it grow back and give it a chance to be its natural color for a while. And try not to color it yourself, instead have someone else do it.

Are you kidding me? You were not expecting something like that would eventually happen? Dying your hair can be damaging, but every week is insane. Something was bound to happen. It is completely your own doing.
