I want to buy a specific wedding dress that is discontinued. I can only find it in white. I want ivory. I would like to know if anyone knows of a place in Texas that will dye it for me. Thank you

Yee haw! Texas is a big state! Ask the store that sells the dress where you can have it dyed.

The dress really needs to be a natural fabric in order to be able to dye, it's the satin is a polyester satin (you'll know it is if you paid under $1000 for the dress), then it won't take dying well at all. However, I'd check at the bridal salon where you bought the dress, they would know best, since they know what fabric the dress is. But remember, any trims, if they are a different fiber than the dress (and they probably are) will absorb the dye differently as well. I'd reccommend looking for a similar style in the color you want. Best of luck to you!

you will really need to be careful about how the dye takes to any different fabrics used in the gown - i.e:- fabric in main body of dress, lace trims
as different fabrics absorb the dyes to different levels - so you may get various shades
sorry I cant help otherwise - live in Aus
maybe try a reputable dry cleaning firm
