Instead of not feeding him maybe they need to look at other factors as to why is he failing. Does he need extra help, is he a slow learner, are the teachers helping. Not feeding is illegal and unethical. I would call the abuse hotline and report it. If you don't want to do it give me the info and I'll do it.
My daughter has short term memory loss so it take a lot for her to learn and understand. She has more lessons and less play. So if I didn't feed her because of her grades she would be dead by now. These people need to be parents and not jerks.

You should call the cops and let them handle it cuz not feeding a child is child abuse. Telling the parent anything will probaly cause problems and tell u that u r not thier parent and to mind ur own buisness.Call the cops or welfare pronto!!!

It's called neglect and yes, it is illegal. I hope this child gets taken away and placed with a loving family that will not punish the child like that. I could understand if desert were taken away, but not meals.

Man I be getting the authorities involved in this one - that's no way to treat a dog let alone a person!
Get your mum's advice and maybe get your friend to come stay with you for a while.
That's BS if it's true and there's no way I'd expect anyone to put up with that, no matter how scared of their folks they are.
No one should fear their parents anyway.
Help them out as much as you can..

No, it's not legal and it's considered child abuse.
Unless you're saying your friend does something like not let the child have dinner one night because of grades. That's not bad.

Only a sadistic ****** would do such a thing. I'd report them to social services immediately. You can do it anon. Give full details when you turn them in. Dates & details help expedite the process.

it depends on how long food is withheld
if proper nutritional requirements are being met then maby not
if the child is not allowed to eat like snacks stuff thats ok
but if proper nurishment is not being met then it could possibly be illegal
