Tink there are only 3 very serious spiders, in the united states. The "bite" could have been caused by other insects or arachnids (members of the spider family). The bad three are the black widow spider. It is black with a red hour glass figure on its back. The bite causes neurological symptoms and you have not described any. A close "cousin is the brown widow spider, which causes similar symptoms. It has only been discovered and described this year. The other bad actor is the brown recluse spider. It has a brown violin figure on its back. Its bite takes a long time to heal and it actually spreads and gets worse over several weeks. (the inner tissue necrotises). It usually lasts about a month if it is not treated. All three bites can be treated with antivenins. You have not described symptoms of any of those notorious three.
Soak thee finger in hot salty water. (not too hot). several times. It would not hurt to put a topical antibiotic on the area to kill any bacteria. (several creams have all or several of the following antibiotics in them, bacitracin, gramicidin s, neomycin). One product is called neosporin.
You can also put a topical antiinflammatory on it, like one containing diphenhydramine. Also a topical pain killer cream wouldn't hurt, like something containing xylocaine hydrochloride.
Get the would checked if it gets worse or grows in size.
Relax, it is probably not serious.

Put a drawing salve on it to draw out any venom. If you do not have any tie a piece of potato on it. That will help to draw some out. I was bit by a brown recluse spider five months ago and have just formed a scab on mine. This spider will cause it to ulcerate and eat the flesh. Yours doesn't sound like mine but it could be from another spider. The best thing to do is to get the venom out first and then put some neosporin on it for it to heal and prevent infection. Good luck and I hope your wound heals.

There are lots of biting insects. A spider bite consistently looks like a bullseye. It has a red center and a white ring around it. Rest assured though that if it had been poisionous you would have already been having symptoms. Take some benadryl and you will be fine.

Sounds like you got a white spider bite
The white spider is known to bite and leave a bite mark which becomes an ulcer if not treated right away so my advice is go to a hospital or your local clinic and get it treated ASAP

could be a spider or other insect bite...
wash the area well with warm water and mild soap. soaps with dyes or perfumes in them could irritate the bite.
apply hydrocortisone or benadryl cream to the area to help reduce swelling and relieve itching (if present).
things to watch for that indicate infection and would require a trip to the dr for antibiotics are:
-increased redness or swelling to the bite area
-the bite begins to ooze any kind of liquid (pus)
-you begin to run a fever of 101.0 or higher
-your finger or hand becomes stiff and you are unable to bend it
