Or do they just automatically delete when they receive a report?

And who wants to take a guess at what time this one will disappear?

I think Yahoo is monitored by a computer, that automatically deletes what has been reported.

The reports are handled by a BOT. I learned this from all the complaining I've done in the forum. Every once in awhile, a real person reads them, but those times are few and far between.

Word of advice...ignore the violations. If you start writing to customer care, you'll receive a letter telling you that you are in danger of suspension, and they'll pull your account after as few as five violations. If you ignore them you can rack up quite a total before they suspend you. I know this for a fact, because I've had 69 violations, 67 of which were chatting. I'm still here.

EDIT: What time will this one disappear? Between 6 and 7 am, Eastern time. That's when my questions usually go down.

Dunno, but if it is automated, they should at least put in a feature that requires a minimum number of reports (so one disgruntled fool can't K.O. a question/answer with a single complaint) and something that scans for profanity, etc.

It would also be good if a question/answer that has received a good, positive response from the community (many thumbs up) was more "resistant" to deletion. In otherwords, make Y!A a democracy. Why not. Without us, it doesn't exist anyway.

I think they automatically delete them

I once responded to a question about the bible by answering and quoting the verse I used as reference. It was deleted as being neither a question nor an answer. I wrote to them five times (it became a point of pride!) and they wrote an apology to me and gave me my points back!

I don't usually get that stubborn, and I am more than willing to admit that some of my Qs and As have been deserving of deletion. But that one was *not* and I was pleased that they admitted it.

And I have to give props to Eileen (EyeLovesJesus) who sent me the address of a specific Y!Answers administrator.

Maybe if we deluge them with protest every time, they will stop being the Y!Astapo and let us Y!Answer in peace.

I'm more than willing to bet they're going to delete this one for QUESTIONING THE ALMIGHTY YAHOO GODS.

I've reported lskmissions.com about 4 times now, and his account still hasn't been deleted.

Im guessing 5 min from now, and no they don't read them. I got deleted for asking about hell on here....something about profanity....I guess I offended someone by having an opinion.

No... they don't. It's an automatic program and deletes questions after complaints.
