i got extremely drunk the other night.

i drank, budweiser, lager, vodka mixed with redbull, and shots.

and ever since, i have been suffering from delusions, that i've said things to people that will lead to them finding out and killing me, and also that i am not gonna get enough sleep and that i will die from lack of r.e.m sleep.

these delusions are really scaring me, as you can imagine, i would just like to know if anyone else has had these experiences.

i have been dazed ever since, and i keep feeling like i am going to pass out.

i have never used drugs, and probably never would

actually alcohol withdrawal is second only to heroine withdrawal(because it can kill you) in how sever the affects can be. heavy heavy alcoholism for long periods can result in delusions, paranoia, hallucinations etc. sounds like you went on a serious binge. I ve experienced all the symptoms you've listed but worse sometimes i go on 4-5-6 day drinking binges and paranoia definitely is not fun. i usually feel the psychological affects from a heavy bout of drinking up to 4 days after the fact. lack of sleeping is defiantly one

if you've been drinking HEAVILY for 20 some years like some alcoholics actually get heart attacks and die from trying to quit
there bodies just cant handel it

you definitely seem to have the personality of the alcoholic(not joking) because as for the other people who answer they have no clue about what you or i am talking about. the paranoia and such are signs of this

you need to go to AA (not joking)

you dont have to quit drinking, I sure as hell wont but you should at least be knowledgeable of the affect of alcohol physically and mentally. In MY OPINION alcohol is a much worse drug than cocain or weed but is much more socially acceptable.

take this into perspective ;

An Alcoholic doesn't have to have a drink for 25 YEARS,
BUT THEY WILL STILL BE AN ALCOHOLIC

Here is the thing with alcohol. If you have a health or mental health problem it will exaggerate it. Many mental health problems are hereditary or lack of proper nutrition or mis-firing in the brain.
Alcohol is a depressant. If you are already depressed (and some people dont know it) the alcohol can bring your down lower to the bottom. Besides depression you could be prone to panic attacks or delusions. Alcohol will make it worse.
Some people are told to never drink, never touch alcohol and this is why. Women are more prone to the problems than men.

Why are you drinking so much? Problems in your life or you just like to party?

Another problem with alcohol is that as you continue to get drunk day after day or week after week, it takes more alcohol for the high. This is the sign of alcoholism. It can just sneak up in you out of the blue. If you dont feel like you can cope without it then you need help. Once you abuse alcohol to the limits you can never go back. And the beer, vodka, redbull (vey high in caffeine) and shots you drank tells me you are overdoing it. If you drink too much or all the time, you need help.
As it takes more to get drunk, you can drink too much in a short amount of time and die from alcohol poisoning. My brother almost died twice from this as he was depressed.

The mind can play tricks on you and you will have delusions and paranoid feelings. And you say you dont do drugs, alcohol is a drug. Same affects. You need to STOP now. Alcohol kills brain cells and if they can not have time to be replaced you will end up with mental health problems just like Janis Joplin, Ozzie Osborne, and more who have brains that dont work well. Many of the homeless on the streets messed up their brains on drugs or alcohol.
Please get help, it is not worth your health.

Short answer: yes. Alcohol definitely can cause paranoia. Here is some more information about it:

"How Does it Affect You?

When a person consumes alcohol, the drug acts on nerve cells deep in the brain. Alcohol initially serves as a stimulant, then induces feelings of relaxation and reduced anxiety. Consumption of two or three drinks in an hour can impair judgment, lower inhibitions, and induce mild euphoria. Five drinks consumed in two hours may raise the blood alcohol level to 0.10 percent, high enough to be considered legally intoxicated in every state. Once a drinker stops drinking, his or her blood alcohol level decreases by about 0.01 percent per hour.

Signs and symptoms of alcohol use and intoxication:

Smell of alcohol on breath
Irritability
Euphoria
Loss of physical coordination
Inappropriate or violent behavior
Loss of balance
Unsteady gait
Slurred and/or incoherent speech
Loss of consciousness
Slowed thinking
Depression
Impaired short-term memory
Blackouts
Signs and symptoms of alcohol withdrawal, experienced by alcoholics and problem drinkers:

Tremors
Agitation
Anxiety and panic attacks
Paranoia and delusions
Hallucinations (usually visual)
Nausea and vomiting
Increased body temperature
Elevated blood pressure and heart rate
Convulsions
Seizures

What are the Dangers of Alcohol Abuse?

In addition to risk of injury or death as a result of accident or violence, alcohol abuse poses a broad range of physiological and psychological dangers.

Neurological dangers include impaired vision and impaired motor coordination, memory defects, hallucinations, blackouts, and seizures. Long-term consumption can result in permanent damage to the brain.

Cardiological problems include elevated blood pressure and heart rate, risk of stroke and heart failure.

Respiratory dangers include respiratory depression and failure, pneumonia, tuberculosis, and lung abscesses. Additionally, alcohol abuse increases the risk of mouth and throat cancer.

Liver disease caused by chronic alcohol abuse, including alcoholic fatty liver, hepatitis, and cirrhosis, kills 25,000 Americans each year.

Other physiological dangers include damage to the gastrointestinal system (including duodenal ulcers, reflux, and diarrhea), the pancreas, and the kidneys. In addition, alcohol consumption may cause malnutrition, disrupt the absorption of nutrients in food, and suppress the immune system, thus increasing the potential for illness.

Psychological dangers include impaired judgment and verbal ability, apathy, introversion, antisocial behavior, inability to concentrate, and deterioration of relationships with family, friends, and co-workers."
