For Instant Rice: alway use equal amounts of rice and water.
Combine rice and water in a microwave-safe container. Cover and microwave on HIGH 4-6 minutes or until boiling. Do not remove lid; let set at least 2-4 minutes, or until water is absorbed. Fluff and serve.

Minute Rice does really well in the microwave. Usually you get a good bowl that is deep enough. Then I add 2 cups of water and 2 cups of rice (4 servings). Stir it together, cover with saran wrap and put in the microwave for 8 minutes on high. Let it sit for 5 minutes and you're in business. It's so easy that way and quick!

put twice as much water as rice in a microwave bowl that has a loose fitting top.

for instance, my recipe is for 3/4 cup long grain rice to 1-1/2 cups of water (you can add salt and a pat of butter). Microwave for 10 minutes. Let sit for a few minutes and tah-dah - great rice!

If you change the amount of water & rice will increase the microwave time if you use more or less time if you use less water & rice. Good luck!

You just add water to cover the rice and put it on 15 minutes in microwave and keep a close watch. It won't burn but it could become dry.I don't have exact measurements but it is triple the water per rice.So for 1 cup of rice you need 3 cups of water.Thats how I do it and it ends up perfect.Hope this helps.I never measure anything.I guess I have just done that for so long I don't have to measure it now.The rice is always done and moist this way.The microwave is the best way to cook rice.

the trick is, the bowl you're using to put the rice in, make sure you put the water until it is the same level with the rice, so it balances...try it
