It depends on the narcotic, the dose, and previous experience with the drug. For example, if you've never taken a narcotic before and you take one now, the effect will be MUCH stronger on you than if you've taken them before.

Usually, a state of euphoria, the inability to concentrate properly, drowsiness, and heavy sedation are all effects of narcotics.

it depends on the narcotic...some you see things...others you don't have a care in the world...someone could say they're going to kill you and you would say go ahead...other mental effects are hallucinations...your best bet is going to google or yahoo and typing in the specific narcotic and then the word effects after it and see what you come up with...
