Actually I have been told that it is good to take Tylenol and then at the next dosage time take Ibuprofen and so on. It is better for pain management because ones body can build up tolerance to med's. I have done it many times safely.

Actually, you can mix your medications, because they both work in different ways. However, the best way to do this is to take only 1 Tylenol with 1 Ibuprofen. Don't take full doses of each at the same time. Or you could take a full dose of Tylenol, wait 2 or 3 hours then take a dose of ibuprofen. Give your body a chance to break down the medications before taking more. Too much at a time can harm your kidneys and liver.

No. I don't believe so. Cat Scratch fever can leave you with terrible lymphadenopathy as well. But you should focus on taking one or the other Tylenol is Acetominaphin and Ibuprofen is a NSAID. Try taking just one type of pain reliever.

Go to your doctor!
Ibuprofen I take some good doses of this every day 1200 mg's in morning and another at night (it works). Tylenol dose not do anything...
102 is not good, I run fever everyday my Ra is flaring, if I got up to 102 how uncomfy I would be (I can just imagine how you are feeling), go go shoo shoo off to the doctor!!

Not exactly sure it would be the best thing to do...but when i took my son to the hospital for a high fever and body aches (he was two years old) they told me to give him a dose of tylenol and ibuprofen at the same time..then to alternate them every 4 hours.

actually this is not bad idea at all, in fact i work with some er docs that say it's a great idea. but if you've been taking cipro and still have fever that high and that amount of pain, i think you might need to have someone look at you.....cats are the worst (next to humans) to bite or scratch you and you shouldn't be having that much pain and the fever is very concerning.....get it checked!!!

NOPE! allthough it is a general rule of thumb not to mix meds cause some will canx out the other, you can and, depending on the situation, should take Ibuprofen w/tylenol because they work in different ways. ibuprofen is an anti inflamatory

I personally would take more of the Ibuprofen, as doctors themselves often prescribe higher doses that what's what's on the label.

No. Tylenol is made of acetaminophen. They are two different drugs, and they don't interact with each other. It may even be more effective pain control to take both. Go ahead.
