if you have a drivers lic. from the military and not one from the state then in some states all you have to do is take the written test, not the driveing test. the state of TX did that in 2001.Kid had a military drivers lic. at FT. Hood and went down to the DPS and took the written part. Got the Lic. I saw from first hand. Sarg. was mad! dum as# couldn't drive to same his life.

As a valid form of identification it carries the same weight as a drivers license. However it does NOT authorize you to operate any vehicle; only a license does that.

in case you advise on making use of, then yeah, you want a state driver's license. that is the regulation all around the rustic. in case you want to carry close the regulations of the state you stay in, why do not you search for the statutes on the state information superhighway web site? maximum in all likelihood, in case you do not plan on making use of, you are able to purely get a state identity card, that is technically no longer a license yet nonetheless incorporates significant information about you that isn't any longer on a militia identity, which include your address. some states do require through regulation that you save identity with you in any respect cases. yet yeah, bottom line, in case you do not pressure in any respect, you do not choose a driver's license.

Of course not. One is a card that shows you are in the military, the other gives you permission to drive.
