Besides the cold and the snow and the slush....all the holiday festivities are over, and it is not always the nicest time.

If you get a nice sunny day, maybe with some fresh snowfall it might be nice.

But otherwise I would say wait until Spring if at all possible. You will have all the same things to do and see, but it will be warmer and drier!

Being a tourist in the middle of January is great !
There are very little crowds, It is COLD, unless you are coming from North Dakota or someplace like that.
When it snows, the city goes into a panic, not a pleasant sight.
But you could be alone in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, just you and the Masterpieces.
If you can deal with the cold, you should be just fine.

It would be too cold, you should go in the summer

i live in manhattan i escape at that time it is the wrong time to come here
