What the statistics don't mention are the skin types that these skin cancer victims have. And in most cases, the people with skin cancer are, not surprisingly, have fair skin. Look at all the othere countries in the same latitudes as Australia and you will find the native people have dark skin. That skin type is suited to the tropics.

Because of the use of fossil fuels and chemicals without prior knowledge there has been a break down in the natural filters in the Ionsphere and the Australian cult of the sun tan as an essential are all causes of Skin cancer which is out of proportion to the rest of our world

years ago we didnt realise what the sun was doing to us, even simple jobs of hanging some washing out daily in the sunshine is putting us at risk of skin cancer. We have high UV rays even in the middle of winter.

Well I know this...as I live in Australia...I heard someone say
that the ozone is open more over Australia?
But I also think it is our country too.....in some strange way?

ozone hole supposedly, less atmospheric protection = more ultraviolet getting through.
more uv affecting the skin means more skin cancer.
