Of course there is.
Two ideas come to mind:
Get a LOT of salt and "write" with the salt in the green lawn. The next time the sprinklers come on, the salt will kill the grass, leaving your "secret message" revealed! We used to write expletives in someone's plush green lawn, and it was always fun to go back and see "how it turned out" a few days later. Make the letters big, because there's nothing the owner can do until he plants new grass, and make sure you use enough salt to get the desired effect.
If you REALLY want to get revenge on someone, fill up a nasty trash can full of water and lean it against the person's front door. Hit the doorbell 20 times and run away. When they open the door, the water filled trashcan will dump inside the house.

I think forking peoples yards is awesome! I did it to a buddies deck because he didn't have a yard, but any way.
You can soap their car and windows.
You can put vaseline all of their door nobs.
You can remove on light from the chirstmas light strand so the whole thing goes out.
During election time you can collect as many signs as you can and put them in their yard.
Get a bunch of those blinking road a-frame signs and put them in the yard. You have to cover the light because those things are REALLY bright in the car.
I used to get traffic cones and block off one-way streets so the drivers got confused/pissed off and drove the wrong way. Dangerous, but hilarious.

If they are a sports fanatic, it's great to go over and decorate with signs, flags (you can just print them off you computer) or whatever of his/her teams arch rival. example: if he loves the Yankees, decorate his yard with anything and everything Mets! You can also take watercolor paint and paint Mets emblem on front picture window, etc. I've done it to friends. It's a hoot. Remember your camera for when you get finished with your handiwork!

My sister's boyfriend got signs and put them in the yard. That was pretty funny.

well if they have their lights op you can take em down or screw em up or you can put lights across the yard that say you suck or a cuss word and put the lights on but make sure the ppl who live in the house can read it from the windows
