Use Zicam. Although it is homeopathic, it works really, really well and it helps you recover from a cold AND treats the symptoms. It is available at any drug store.

As for your grandma, you need to be vigilant about washing your hands and covering your nose and mouth. Leave food preparation up to other people, if possible. When you say hello, decline a hug and kiss.

I hope I helped!

Take 500 mg vitamen C 4x a day. Zinc plays an important role in the immune system. US RDA says adult women need 8 mg a day, but when you are sick, taking 30 mg a day will knock that cold out in half the time (at least it does for me). Take it with water and a meal because it can upset an empty stomach.

If your ears are hurting consistantly and you start to run a fever, you probably have an infection and should see the doctor. Most of us don't have the time it takes to recover naturally from an ear infection.

And drink lots of water!

Feel better!

COLD-EEZE is a helpful homeopathic remedy. There are other respected homeopathic formulas. Early on if you drink hot drinks take things that cause you to sweat that can help. Thats why cold formulas have so much alcohol, like in Nightquil. Horseradish and ginger are spices that help you to sweat. In fact too much horseradish can give you what is called night sweats. But you really have to eat a lot of the fresh herb for that to happen. Drink orange juice several times a day to keep the garbage cleared out of your throat. www.webmd.com\ probably has other solutions.

From past experiences, my best buddy is Water. Drink plenty of water and expect to go bathroom many times a day to let out the bad stuff in your body. Make sure you are dressed warmly. It wouldn't hurt to take Nyquil before going to sleep to speed up the recovery process. One note while you are traveling Wash your hands Often, and again I would take a bottle of water with me everywhere I go. Hope you'll feel better soon.

A cold is a caused by a virus and needs to run it's course. I have heard people who have had some results to get over a cold by taking items with Zinc. You can certainly ask your pharmacist.

the perfect element for chilly sores at the moment's a product referred to as abreva. although, in case you'll locate it, some position of beginning pharmacist carry a product referred to as "remedy a Sore", it has ether in it and works o.k.. Stinks like loopy and style very undesirable in case you get it on your mouth, yet works extra useful than something else that I actually have tried. in case you save abreva with you, then you could placed it on once you experience one coming and in various of circumstances it gained't arise. If it does arise it doesn't very last lengthy. I save it for that reason. although i have not talked about a lot huge difference if I wait too lengthy to apply it. I also save Lysin it helps with the puffieness and soreness. wish this helps.

A cold is a virus and it has to run its course. It generally takes four to seven days before it's gone.
