It seems to me that most people who ask questions on here really don't want opinions. They want someone to tell them what they want to hear. Do YOU want an honest opinion or would you rather just people tell you what you want to hear?

People with dating issues are insecure, or they wouldn't post in a public forum for virtually millions to read and respond to.

Some want honest opinions (I've got thank-you notes for some of my rather blunt ones) and some do hope to hear what they want to hear, even if they know it's not right or the best thing for them.

If I ask a question re: anything...I want the truth or someone's honest opinion...but then I'd not ask a serious question re: my personal life on a public forum.

Honest opinions are nice, but it isn't right to make fun of someone, which I see people doing a lot on here. Everyone deserves a mature, honest, considerable opinion to life questions, no matter how outrageous they are.

I haven't asked any questions as yet. When/if I do, I hope to hear honest opinions.

I do see that "best answer according to asker" is often the answer that they seemed to be looking for. I could be wrong, I guess; I can't read minds. Naah. I'm right.

i agree with you, and think people just want to hear what they want to, they are not looking for suggestions or opinions. if i ask a question i would prefer honesty and something i could use to help me. if they really don't want advice they shouldn't post questions.

i think of human beings could be at liberty to have the opinion that they choose. they could be waiting to precise there opinion, and people who pay attention (which could be a lot of human beings) could have an open ideas, and probably substitute there opinion. some comments won't become something, whether it doesnt propose there valueless. whether no one treasures your opinion, you may. Its what makes you who you're.

I want CONSTRUCTIVE advice. Something I can take and think about it. Not just:

hey, get over him!

or

Yup, he likes ya!

That is not constructive. I like giving in depth explanations and help that is useful to the person asking the question. I appreciate when people take the time to give good advice with sound logic. You know?
