anytime there is anything that oozes (like a heel blister) it means it's starting to infect. Flatten it to get the liquid out and then apply a good first aid ointment and then put a large bandaid on it in the direction your shoe moves. Make sure the bandaid or tape is long enough to fit under the foot so rubbing doesn't dislodge it. Then wear flip-flops, or some other shoe that keeps from rubbing that area for a few days till it heals. Around the house you could even wear socks.
